Project: Color the Bathroom

Alright! Here is what we did with the bathroom. The color inspiration came from our towels and rugs. Sean was captain of the Spackle; the last tenants gave him plenty to work on. After we picked up paint and towel racks made in this century, we went to town.

Sean heard a designer say you tier the shades of the colors you use. In the same color tone, paint dark for the floor boards, medium for the walls, and light for the ceiling.

I wasn't super convinced that was a concrete rule, but decided we should try it out for the bathroom....

We love it! I was a doubter, I'll admit. The dark trim frames the window so nicely, and gives a nice feel to the whole bathroom.

Next up: painting the living room and kitchen. (We didn't intend to do both in the same day...)

Washing the clothes is fun to do....

One of the things we have really enjoyed about this house, or I guess I should say, I have enjoyed about this house is the washer and dryer. They are FULL SIZE!!! Most happy. Here they are:

And here is our laundry room:

Wanna see why laundry is FUN to do???

I'm thinking a vinyl sign on the door will make it complete....

Kelly Green was not what I was planning on, but it did a little "ding!" at the store when I saw it.

Next post: painting the bathroom!

A Busy Week Full of Family

Sean had some training for work in Wendover, so he dropped me off in South Jordan on his way.

Monday: I worked on painting the parent's deck (please note the before and after shots).

Tuesday: after a long day, we met at the temple. Forrest and Jessica were able to go through.

We were only able to get one shot due to some dead batteries...
Wednesday: We worked hard in the kitchen to get ready for Thursday's luncheon. Afterward, the fam met at Nathan and Brenda's for a BBQ.

Thursday: Sean and I drove to one of our favorite places ever...

Oquirrh Mountain Temple
Travis and Jessica came out looking like this:

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Gowen!!!

I kind of shadowed the photographer, and a lot of this happened:

(I'm still in the editing process. A great project to work on!)

Friday: All of the cameras were out of juice... but we still did lots. We went to Virg's for breakfast with some of the family, and we all had more than plenty to eat. That evening we went to "Faith the Musical" with the other side of the family, including Uncle George and Aunt Fran, and Uncle Duane and Aunt Linda. It was a performance that helped us appreciate how much goes into productions.

Saturday: We headed home after acquiring a new kitchen table (thank you garage pre-sale!!) and started to unwind from our week.

Sunday: We actually attended our ward, and we both have callings now. During church we were informed I left paperwork from my office in South Jordan, so we again took the drive up north to meet Cindy with the goods.

A busy week full of our wonderful family.
