Halloween: Moab Style

Have you ever heard of Pumpin' Chuckin'? It is a festival that a company puts on for Halloween. Other businesses come and sell food, have activities, and advertise their goods.

The school I work at was one of the vendors, so we thought we would check it out. It was a cool and bright afternoon. Some were dressed up for the occasion.

There was definitely a fall and festive feel.

One of the highlights: a Wiener Dog Race!

Action shot.
Some coworkers watching the race.

And of course, there really was pumpkin' chuckin'.
This was one of the cannons. It looked like something that was used in WW II. Quite epic. If the pumpkins didn't explode in that thing, they went pretty darn far!

A Kitchen with Storage is a Happy Kitchen

We looked long. A few months. Several weeks. Sean saw a huge need. I saw a potential need. We sought council. We asked permission. We came to a decision.

It came to our door. It was waiting for us when we got home. It was too heavy for me. I had to wait. Sean couldn't wait.

The rest is all pictures.

Snow.... before the snow.

Travis and Jessica invited us to a concert they were performing in at Snow. We drove over after work, and made it with time to spare.

The drive was beautiful! Love the Fall.

It had been a while since going to a concert, so it was fun to make the trip. They performed Brahms' Requiem. (Sean was super excited to see Craig Jessop conduct.)

Can you see a cute violin and viola player?

It was time to celebrate the performance, so a trip to The Malt Shop was requisite (Sean's word).

After staying in their spacious and beautiful apartment (totally fell in love!), we headed to Manti for breakfast.

There was a bakery that had great reviews online and we decided on donuts (as there are no good donuts in Moab). Shall we say AMAZING??? Yes. Yes we shall.

They were freshly made that morning and delicious and warm and gooey and huge and big and...and... and covered in goodness!! (Can you tell we have missed donuts?)

Some may or may not have gotten in my nose....

Look at how huge and satisfying that donut is!

And we happily ate them all. The end.

We will definitely be visiting the donut shop (and Travis and Jessica) again.
