The Closet!!!

After moving things around, reorganizing, and getting frustrated, we decided an additional closet was needed. The landlord said, "If Erin thinks we need a closet, then let's do it!" So we made plans!

First cutting out the carpet for the studs.
Get all of the tools and supplies in one place.
Create the frame for your soon-to-be walls.

Put up dry wall, and triple check your measurements.
Have your wife's boss help, and make him treats too.
Enjoy the mess while it lasts. It will not last long!
Time to mud!
And mud some more.
Then we paint with primer.
And paint the shelves too. (Later add liner for protection.)
Decide that the hall closet can be more effective with two more shelves.
And move the vacuum into its new home!
And fill the new closet up with everything in sight!!

Next project: painting the entire bedroom. This project is pending on the choosing of color..... We will keep you posted!

Moab Lights

It's fun to see how Moab gets into the holiday spirit. We start December off with a Light Parade. The school I work at had a float, and Sean helped hold up the school mascot: a dragon!

Down the street from us, is an arts and recreation center. They go all out with their Christmas lights, so we thought we would get some special hot chocolate and have a walk by:

Thanksgiving 2011

We started out with a lot of food making! Wednesday was spent mostly in the kitchen baking for the big day.

Caramel apple pies! A traditional crust and dutch crust for both families.

We also had a little gathering to celebrate Dale's birthday.

Chatting with the fam always makes for an enjoyable evening.

Next: Turkey day!!!

Thanksgiving Dinner.

Thanksgiving Supper.
There is a story to go along with almost every picture. The food was fantastic all day! We ate enough food to last a few day.

We also were able to see our friends the Cooks during our visit. They suggested Cafe Rio, and we got to  meet their new little one.

Gosh we're thankful. We had a very enjoyable and relaxing Thanksgiving!
